LIFE in RIYADH, KSA

Wow laki na ng Tiyan (Payat kasi nung umalis) - Galing Saudi yan...
Dami Gold Jewelry - ah katas ng saudi yan...
Painom magdamagan - Kakauwi galing saudi yan...
among others....
These are the typical scenario ng mga galing ng saudi. It seems
that to us which has no experience in saudi will think that it is
very easy to earn money in Saudi Arabia. Were all wrong.....
Salary here is just like what we have in the philippines. The
Good thing is that, normaly Villa and Food is free of Charge.
Salary is Tax Free, Transportation -is also provided by the
company. Other than that its a mess.
Lets Start with Villa or Accomodation( This is based on our
Villa): This is an apartment unit normaly about 4 Storey building
and compost of many rooms. 8 rooms/floor.a kitchen and 4 rest
rooms. Water is sufficient ( there is just an instance , for almost
2 weeks  that the water is timed due to faulty Pipes), But it is
quite warm - Not Hot, and quite salty. Its like having a hot
shower everyday. If you dont want to take a shower usigna
lukewarm water, you can store your water inside the room
overnight and use it the following day.
Room: According to the Agency (JVR PLacement Agency) There
is a seperate accomodations for Managers from drivers. Good
to say there isnt... Luckily there is no Race Mixed up. Means
that We are all filipinos in One room. As of this moment 4 max
for each room using a Bunk bed with new Mattress and Coverlet
plus a pillow. But currently we are 7 inside the room due to
some factors. Air conditioned room and a closet is also
provided.
Food: company provided 200SR as our food allowance, but
some other says that this is only for the first month. No more
additional 200SR for the succeeding months. Contract says
different though. In this regards we need to do our best to
stretch our 20SR budget until salary came. Take note that the
salary in Saudi Arabia is Monthly, unlike in the Phillipines that is
Bi- monthly. Let me share you with the Food prices in Backala - A nearby Store (Grocery Store). Please dont hesitate to convert if you like: 555 Sardines= 3SR, Croisant Bread =1 SR, Rice =25++ SR for 5 Kilos, Egg = 12 to 13 SR per Tray, Fresh Milk 4SR/I Ltr or 7SR /2 Liters, Water 5 SR/ for 5 gallons (container not included). Corned beef ( normally around 9SR).Instant noodles (65 Grams) 1.5 SR, among others. Good Thing if you have enough money you can visit PANDA Store  - Its like Shopewise in the Philippines that you can save a little.
To be continued....
